Aun gallery Artist

  • About Artist
    Golnar Adili left her young career in architecture to pursue art in New York over three years ago. Since then, she has attended residencies at the MacDowell Colony, Ucross Foundation, Soltanstall Foundation, PS122 residency, and Aunspaugh Fellowship at University of Virginia. She has shown at Brooklyn Arts Council, Woman Made Gallery, Lyons Wier Gallery in Manhattan, and Brooklyn Artists Gym. As a designer and an architect she has worked for Pompei AD designing Anthropologie stores, and Kaikai Kiki and Tina Manis Making a model for Murakami’s White Plant in New York. As an artist she has been an artist assistant for Ellen Driscoll for over two years.
    She received her BA in Studio Art from University of Virginia, and holds an MAarch from University of Michigan. She received the University of Michigan Thesis Award, and was the recipient of Booth Traveling Fellowship from University of Michigan to Tehran in 2006. Golnar is a recipient of The New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Drawing/ Paper making/ and book arts in 2009. She is also the recipient of the Urban Artist Initiative grant in 2009. She is currently a Keyholder resident at the Lower East Side Printshop. She grew up in Tehran and is currently living in Brooklyn.
